Is temp mail free?
Yes. You get one random address on wrix.link without an account. It lasts 1 hour, and you can swap it for a new one any time.
How long are emails kept?
On our servers, only until your browser receives them, and never more than 2 minutes. Your browser then keeps them on this device: for 1 hour on Free, and until you delete them on Pro. Deleting an email or an address removes it right away.
Where are emails stored?
Only in your browser. Mail is received at the network edge, handed to your open page, and deleted from our side the moment your browser has saved it. Emails never touch our web server or database, and they don’t sync between devices.
What if the page is closed?
Keep this page open while you wait for an email. If no page is open when an email arrives, it waits up to 2 minutes for you to come back, then it is deleted.
Can I send or reply?
No. Temp mail only receives email, which keeps it from being used to send spam.
Can I choose my address?
With Pro you can pick custom names like you@wrix.link and keep up to 10 addresses at a time. Free addresses are random so nobody can guess them.
Is it private?
Anyone who knows an address can send to it, but only you can read it: emails are saved only in the browser that received them. Don’t use temp mail for accounts you want to keep, since you won’t receive password resets after the address expires.
Do attachments work?
On Pro, yes, up to 10 MB per email. On Free, attachments and embedded images are removed before the email reaches you, and you’ll see which files were dropped. Free emails can be up to 2 MB before attachments are removed.
